During this appointment you will have a full orthodontic assessment, including recording jaw and teeth relationships. Orthodontic records will be collected, which involves taking alginate impressions (moulds) of your teeth and clinical photographs of your face and teeth. These will form part of your medical records and will not be displayed anywhere else without further consent. 

 

Dental radiographs (x-rays) may also be required, we may ask your dentist to arrange these or send you to an external dental practice. You will need to pay for these xrays separately, and they are not included in the consultation fee. We don't have the facility at the department to arrange these xrays currently.

Treatment options and estimated costs will be discussed at this appointment and a letter will be emailed outlining the discussion.

A follow up appointment can be made once you have had a chance to review the information. If you would like to go ahead with treatment, we will arrange your next appointments.

All children under the age of 18 years old will need to be accompanied by a legal guardian.
